BNP's Bhanga Upazila Committee Announced, Celebrated with a Joyful Rally

The Bhanga Upazila Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has been announced. The 25-member committee was formed with Alhaj Khandaker Iqbal Hossain Selim as President and Md. Ayub Ali Molla as General Secretary. On Saturday afternoon (August 30), a large celebratory rally was held by the BNP and its affiliated organizations on the Bhanga Golchattar Highway Expressway.

New Committee Members

The newly formed committee includes:

 * Vice Presidents: Md. Habibur Rahman Munshi, Shahriar Islam Shayla, and seven others.

 * Senior Joint General Secretary: Mohammad Fazle Sobhan Shamim, along with three other joint general secretaries.

 * Organizing Secretaries: M. O. M. Taimur Lung, Bitu Munshi, and Masud Rana.

 * Assistant Organizing Secretary: Journalist Mahamudur Rahman Turan.

 * Publicity Secretary: Md. Mirza Imran.

Celebration and Speeches

The committee was announced through a notice signed by the convenor and member secretary of the Faridpur District Committee, which was later published on social media.

Following the announcement, enthusiastic members of the Bhanga Upazila BNP and its affiliates welcomed the new committee with drums, colors, and dancing. Both the new President, Khandaker Iqbal Hossain Selim, and General Secretary, Ayub Ali Molla, urged all BNP leaders and workers to set aside their differences, eliminate internal conflicts, and unite under the ideals of Shaheed Zia.

General Secretary Ayub Molla stated, "We do not practice politics of revenge; we practice politics for the welfare of the people and the ideals of Ziaur Rahman."

President Selim Khandaker assured the members in his speech, "You will be able to do BNP politics in Bhanga Upazila without fear." He also mentioned, "This committee will be 101 members strong. So, if any brother is left out of the committee at this moment, and you show interest, we will sit together, discuss, and include your name in the committee in a unified way."

Speakers at the event congratulated BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, and the Central Committee General Secretary of the Krishak Dal and potential candidate for Faridpur-4, Shahidul Islam Khan Babul. The leaders of the Faridpur District Committee were also congratulated.
