"If Islam and Honest Individuals Come to Power, Minorities and All Will Live in Peace and Safety," Says Khilafat Majlis MP Candidate Maulana Mujibur Rahman in Debidwar

Maulana Mujibur Rahman, the Khilafat Majlis-nominated parliamentary candidate for the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency, held an exchange of views with journalists in Debidwar, accompanied by party leaders and activists.

The meeting took place on Monday, July 28, at noon at the local 'Diana Restaurant'.

During the exchange, Maulana Mujibur Rahman, the nominated parliamentary candidate for the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency under the 'Clock symbol', stated, "The party has announced me as a candidate for the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency in the upcoming parliamentary elections."

Maulana Mujibur Rahman further added, "There is no alternative to honest and virtuous individuals for the development of the state, the advancement of education, the promotion of religious values, and the establishment of a just society. Therefore, Ulamas (Islamic scholars) must come to power through elections to establish an Islamic system of governance."

He also said, "We, the Islamic parties, are uniting to establish the religion of Allah on Allah's earth. In the upcoming election, all parties except one are seeking the PR (Proportional Representation) method." He further emphasized, "If honest and virtuous individuals come to power, people of all religions, including minorities, will live in peace and safety."

Present at the event were Maulana Abu Bakar Siddique, Central Executive Member of Khilafat Majlis; Hafiz Maulana Shamim Hasan, President of Debidwar Upazila Khilafat Majlis; Abu Yusuf, Vice-President; Maulana Habibur Rahman, Training Secretary of Cumilla North District Khilafat Majlis and Vice-President of Debidwar Upazila; Maulana Matiur Rahman Farazi, Vice-President of Cumilla North District Khilafat Majlis; Maulana Zahirul Islam, Secretary of Upazila Khilafat Majlis; Hafiz Kamal Hossain, and leaders and activists from district and upazila Khilafat Majlis and its Supporter organizations.
