Free fertilizer and seeds distribution in Pirganj

Free fertilizer and seeds were distributed as incentive among 25 hundred small and marginalized farmers to increase the production of planted amon crop in Pirganj, Thakurgaon. Upazilla Executive Officer Rakibul Hasan inaugurated the fertilizer and seeds distribution program organized by the Department of Agricultural Expansion on Tuesday (3rd June) afternoon at Pirganj Upazila Council. Upazilla Agricultural Officer addressed a meeting chaired by Agriculturalist Laila Arjuman Begum, Upazilla BNP President and former MP Zahidur Rahman Zahid, OC Tajul Islam Senior Upazilla Fisheries Officer Khaled Mosharraf of Pirganj Police Station. At this time, various officers and employees of the Upazila Agriculture Extension Department along with Nasrat Khoda Rana were present.

As incentive, farmer is provided with 5 kg Amon paddy seeds, 10 kg DAP, 10 kg MOP fertilizer.
