Two sentenced to life imprisonment for rape in Palakram in Naogaon for tempting to marry a school girl

Court sentenced life imprisonment to two young men in the case of gang rape in the Porsha sub-district of Naogaon district. At the same time, they have been fined one lakh taka, another 6 months unpaid and 6 months imprisonment. 29 April (Tuesday) noon, Judge of Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal-2. Mehedi Hasan Talukdar gave the verdict. President's lawyer Rejaul Karim confirms life imprisonment.

Life imprisonment are Sakil (24) son of Nazim Uddin of Surananda village of upazila and Abdul Aleem (30) son of Aladipur village. The accused were present in the court during the verdict.

The court sources said, Sakil took a fourteen-year-old schoolgirl to the double house of Habibullah Shah's mango garden in Suranand village after tempting to marry her on March 8, 2021. There Sakil and Abdul Aleem raped that student forcefully. Later, if the student herself complained at the police station, then the police filed a complaint against the accused after the investigation.

After the hearing, the court sentenced two people guilty and sentenced life imprisonment today on the basis of the statement of 10 witnesses. At this time, the judge ordered to give the fine money to the rape victim.

Even if the President's lawyer expressed satisfaction, the accused party will appeal to the High Court.
