Colorful Baisakhi festival in open field in Italy by Bangladesh Nigrant Welfare Council

: Expatriate Bangladeshis are nurturing and preserving the tradition and culture of Bengal even in expatriates. Baisakhi festival was held in the open ground organized by Bangladesh Immigrant Welfare Council in Italy at the beginning of 1432 in Rome of Bangladesh.

Even though it is a holiday, ignoring the enemy weather, the afternoon of the local time is filled with a huge number of expatriates walked in the Baisakhi fair ground.

Tarpinattara's Bangla published area of the capital Rome, the expatriate Bangladeshis of many age joined in Baishakhi dressed in Baishakhi saree.

In the second part of the program, the cultural program started under the direction of the organization's cultural editor Zahura Ishita. It was a pleasure mela with the rendition of Bengali music performed by local artist Rockstar Babu Bengal and Care songs. Dance is also served with regular break.

Organizers said our main aim is to highlight the history, traditions of Bangladesh in the new generation and the expatriate Bangladeshis living in Italy so that all can increase each other's harmony with this big celebration of Bangladeshis.

The guests present at this time said that Bangladeshis stay away from hosting the joy of indigenous tradition, even though this festival is spreading happiness among us, it seems that we are in a piece of Bangladesh abroad.


In this arrangement, the expatriate Bangladeshis brought various types of foods like Jhalmuri, Desi Pitha, Hilsa rice and various clothes.


Expatriate Bangladeshis participating in the program said, even though we are a little late, we are able to celebrate this big festival, sharing joy with each other, it is our great joy in abroad. All the expatriate Bangladeshis thanked the Bangladesh Expatriate Welfare Council by praising the arrangement.


The event was overall management of Jalalabad Nigrant Welfare Council and Rome BD Sporting Club and the reception was Women Social Welfare Association and Women's Organization Italy. Also special cooperation were various institutions including Service Italy, CCL, CSV Cuff, Gold Ice, Daisy Hair Style, Hassan Elementary, Surma Elementary, Sajal Bhebande, Dishari Restaurant.
