Two children drowned in water in Naogaon!

Two children named Huzaifa (3) and Maisha Akhtar (3) died after drowning in Mahadevpur and Manda in Naogaon. Maisha Akhtar drowned in the pond on Friday night and Huzaifa drowned in the pond around 12 noon on Saturday.

Deceased Huzaifa is the son of Saiful Islam of North Paril village in Mandar and deceased Maisha is the daughter of truck diver Mohammad Ali of North Bhimpur village of Bhimpur UP.

According to local sources, Huzaifa of Dighipara village, north of Manda, was playing with a child of the same age named Farzana on the bank of a government pond. He fell into the water of the pond while picking up the shoes that had fallen into the pond during the sport. Later he was rescued and taken to Manda Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

On the other hand, Maisha Akhtar went to the village doctor's house at 9 pm on Friday as her grandmother felt sick. He also takes after his grandmother. Without understanding his grandmother, he moved to his own house. As the child was not at home, the family members searched a lot and did not find him and reported to the Nowhata police station. The outpost police recovered the drowned body of the deceased child from a pond near his house at 11 pm. Later, the police went and recovered the body of the drowned child in the pond and brought it to the outpost. His body was sent to the district morgue this morning for post-mortem.

Officer-in-charge of Manda police station Munchur Rahman confirmed the truth of the two incidents.
