The police of Pirganj police station arrested a person named Hamidul with 3 hundred pitch of banned Indian drug tapentadol tablets in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. On Friday afternoon, he was arrested in the Chatidanga area of Bhomradah Union of the upazila.
Police station SI Ratan said that based on secret information, a police team led by him conducted a raid in Chatidanga area of Bhomradah upazila union. At that time, after searching the body of a drug dealer named Hamidul Islam, 300 pitches of banned drug tapentadol tablets were recovered. He was arrested. Son of deceased Safir Uddin of Khamar Senua village of Hamidul upazila. For a long time, he was secretly dealing in drugs under the cover of a drug store in Lohagara market. A case has been registered against him under the Narcotics Control Act.
Officer-in-charge of Pirganj Police Station Khairul Anam said that Hamidul was arrested with drugs and a case has been filed against him under the Drug Control Act.
