Human chain and protest march demanding the rescue of Shashan Ghat in Pirganj

Residents of Paschim Mallikpur Chandrahar of Daulatpur Union of Pirganj Upazila of Thakurgaon held a human chain and protest march demanding the rescue of Shashan Ghat. On Monday afternoon, Barabari Mallikpur Sanatan religious people held a human chain and protest march at Paschim Mallikpur Chandrahar Shashan Ghat. Peerganj Press Club President Zainal Abedin Babul, UP member Sukumar Roy, teachers Tarani Kant, Shanta Ram, Yadu Ram, Shantana Rani, Belasari Bala, Zaman Uddin etc. 

At this time, the speakers said that the traditional religious people of the area have been doing charity work and burying their dead bodies since the British period at Shashan Ghat in West Mallikpur Chandrahar. Plot No. 428 of Mallikpur Mauza in land survey SA and CS record also in the name of Chandrahar Shashan Ghat. Recently one Aftab Uddin and Sohrab Ali took over the Shashan Ghat by making fake documents. Due to this, the traditional religious people of that area are facing many problems to bury their dead bodies. The speakers drew the attention of the administration to free and restore the Shashan Ghat of West Mallikpur Chandrahar without delay.
