Seminar on access of landless to agricultural land in Pirganj

The accessibility of the landless to the agricultural special land in Pirganj of Thakurgaon and local good governance seminar was held. The meeting was held at Upazila Parishad Auditorium organized by Upazila Landless Coordination Parishad in collaboration with CDA on Thursday afternoon. Chairman of Upazila Landless Coordination Parishad Anibash Chandra Roy addressed the meeting, Upazila Chairman Akhtarul Islam, Upazila Executive Officer Shahriar Nazir, Upazila Vice Chairman Sukumar Roy, Pirganj Press Club President Joynal Abedin Babul, District Landless Coordination Parishad Chairman Jalal Uddin etc. At that time Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abdullah Al Rifat, Pirganj Press Club General Secretary Nasrete Khoda Rana, CDA Dinajpur Region Manager MA Zakaria, Regional Coordinator Kausarul Alam, Lohagara Unit Manager Mamata Ghosh, Jabarhat Union Manager Dalim Hossain along with 9 unions of landless public organizations of the upazila. Members were present. In the meeting, issues such as settlement of special land in the name of the landless, agricultural card, lease of government ponds, and greater access to landless land were discussed.
