On the occasion of Victory Day in Faridpur, a reception was held for freedom fighter policemen

With the policemen who played a role in the Great Liberation War, the district police organized a reception, a discussion meeting and a banquet for the retired policemen. Before this, police superintendent Md. Shah Jahan (PPM) laid guard of honor along with wreath laying at Police Lais Memorial Pillar. Later, special prayers and prayers were held there in memory of the martyrs.

The event was held at the Faridpur Police Lines Drill Shed on Sunday (December 17).

The policemen who played a role in the great liberation war were felicitated by the policemen who were retired as heroic freedom fighters on behalf of the district police at the Faridpur Police Lines Drill Shed. Later in the afternoon the reception was held.

Earlier, at the beginning of the discussion on the occasion of the Great Victory Day, all the martyrs including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali nation father of a thousand years, were remembered with respect. A minute's silence was observed in memory of all the brave martyrs.

Speakers in the discussion meeting said that the police force formed the first armed resistance in Rajarbagh during the war of independence. Today, Bangladesh Police is proud of those policemen who fought in the freedom struggle. District Police, Faridpur promised to stand by these brave freedom fighter policemen and their families.

Mohammad Imdad Hussain, Additional Superintendent of Police, Administration and Finance, Faridpur (promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police), Mr. Shailen Chakma, Additional Superintendent of Police, Crime and Ops, Faridpur (promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police), Mr. Sheikh Md. Abdullah Bin Kalam, Additional Superintendent of Police, District Special Branch, Faridpur (promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police), Mr. Salauddin, PPM, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sadar Circle, Faridpur, Mr. Asaduzzaman Shakeel, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Nagarkanda Circle, Senior Police Inspector (TI) of Faridpur Sadar Traffic, other officials of the District Police along with family members of the heroic freedom fighter policemen.

Various officers of the district police, retired policemen, children of brave freedom fighters spoke in the discussion meeting.

The organizing secretary of the Central Committee of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Hero Muktijoddha Police Member's son who attended the event. Sakhawat Hossain said, on behalf of all the freedom fighter families, I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all the members of the district police, Faridpur, including Superintendent of Police Mr. Shajahan Sir.

It should be noted that like every year, this year also on the occasion of Victory Day, Faridpur District Police organized this. District Police Faridpur felicitated the brave freedom fighter policemen/representatives with flowers and gifts.

According to sources, Faridpur was liberated from the enemy on this day (December 17) in 1971. On this day, the people of Faridpur rejoiced over the defeat of the Pakistani invaders.
