Exchange of views with tribal people in Pirganj

An exchange meeting was held with like-minded human rights organizations and networks on various issues of Dalit tribal groups in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. The meeting was held on Saturday morning at the Pirganj office of ESDO's Premdeep project. President of Upazila Advocacy Platform Virmuktijoddha Hafizur Rahman spoke at the meeting, President of Upazila Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad Atul Chandra Roy, President of Pirganj Press Club Joynal Abedin Babul, General Secretary Nasrete Khoda Rana, Senior Journalists Deepen Roy and Mokaddes Hayat Milan, Premdeep of ESDO. Project Coordinator Kazi Sirajus Salekin, Upazila Manager Arun Roy, BRAC Human Rights and Legal Support Worker Noor Nahar, Human Rights Worker Nahid Parveen Ripa, Sports Organizer Farooq Hossain, Tribal Leader Lukash Tudu, Pital Hajda, Clara Tudu etc. In the meeting, various problems and issues of tribals were discussed.
