Woman dies of snake bite in Pirganj

A woman named Oli Rani Roy died of a poisonous snake bite in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. The incident took place in Saguni village of the upazila on Tuesday morning.

Officer-in-charge of Pirganj Police Station Abdul Latif Sheikh said that Oli Rani was bitten by a poisonous snake at her home on Tuesday morning. Locals took him to Pirganj Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Oli Rani is the daughter of Jidendra Nath Roy of Saguni village. An unusual case has been filed in the police station in this incident.
