The Directorate of Narcotics Control arrested two drug dealers with 250 pitches of banned drug tapentadol tablets in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. They were arrested along with drugs by raiding the T&T area of the city on Monday afternoon. The arrested are Islam Khan and Fardin Khan, sons of Khalilur Rahman of Paur city. They are about brothers. A case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Act at the police station.
Farhad Akand of the District Narcotics Control Directorate said that based on secret information, a team led by him conducted a raid in Raghunathpur T&T Para area of Pirganj town on Monday afternoon. During the operation, Khalilur Rahman's house was searched and 250 tablets of banned drug tapentadol were recovered. At this time, Khalilur Rahman's son Islam Khan and Fardin Khan were arrested. They have been dealing drugs secretly for a long time.
Abdul Latif Sheikh, officer in charge of Pirganj Police Station, said that Farhad Akand of the District Narcotics Control Directorate has filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act as the plaintiff and the accused will be sent to jail tomorrow.
