Child Tuba drowned in pond water in Faridpur; Teachers Association in condolence

A two-year-old child named Tuba died after falling into the water of a pond in Faridpur's Saltha.

The incident took place in Ramkantpur village of Ramkantpur union of the upazila at around five o'clock in the afternoon on Monday (September 11). Child Tuba is the younger daughter of Hafez Maulana Tajul Islam of that village.

Hafez Maulana Tajul Islam is a teacher of Gajgah Noorani Darul Arkam Ibtedayi Madrasa of Nagarkanda Upazila.

According to local and family sources, Tuba was playing with other children in the backyard on Monday afternoon. Unbeknownst to everyone, the child fell into the water of the pond next to the house and drowned. During the search, local people found Tuba's body in the pond in the evening.

Tuba's father Maulana Tajul Islam's co-teacher Maulana Shamsul Haq confirmed the truth of the incident and said that Tuba, the younger daughter of Maulana Tajul Islam Sahib's two daughters, fell into the water and died in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the central and Faridpur district branches of Bangladesh Darul Arkam Teacher Welfare Association have expressed grief over the death of Shishu Tuba.
