One arrested with tapentadol tablets in Pirganj

The police of the police station arrested a drug dealer with 70pitch banned Indian drug tapentadol tablets in Pirganj of Thakurgaon.

On Saturday afternoon, he was arrested along with drugs during a raid in Sengao Union Nasibganj area of the upazila.

Police station SI Md. Abdul Halim Khan said that based on secret information, a police team under his leadership conducted a raid in the upazila Nasibganj Bazar area. At that time, a drug dealer named Zahirul Islam was searched and 70 pitches of banned drug tapentadol tablets were recovered. He was arrested. Zahirul is the son of Mokhleshur Rahman of Dastampur village of Upazila. He had been secretly dealing drugs for a long time.

Officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station Abdul Latif Sheikh said that Zahirul was arrested with drugs and a case has been filed against him under the Drug Control Act.
