Thakurgaon District Representative:
A school student named Saiyaz (16) died due to electric shock in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. The incident took place in Shimulbari area of Khangaon Union of the upazila on Thursday afternoon. It is known that he is the son of Asad Ali of Shimulbari village of Saiyaz Upazila and a tenth class student of Shimulbari High School.
Sayaz's father Asad Ali said that his house is being demolished and rebuilt. For this reason, the main wire of the house's electricity connection is tied to a tree on the side. In the afternoon, suddenly Sayaz got caught in that wire. He died on the spot.
Abdul Latif Sheikh, OC of Pirganj police station confirmed the truth of the incident.
