Four gamblers arrested in Pirganj

Police arrested four people from gambling party in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. They were arrested on Friday, August 25 at around 6 pm while playing gambling in the courtyard of Dulal Roy's house in Fun City Guagawe in Puru. The arrested are Shahidul Islam, son of Gulzar Hossain of Guagao of Paur town, Nuruzzaman, son of Muslim Uddin, Asad, son of deceased Anju of Munsipara village, Sakru Ali, son of deceased Mr. Ali of Raghunathpur Munsipara village.

Abdul Latif Sheikh, OC of Pirganj police station, said that the police station conducted a raid in the evening based on secret information that gambling was being done in exchange of money at the house of Dulal Roy in Guagao area. At that time, 2 sets of playing cards, cash of 2 thousand taka, mobile phone and a jute chat were recovered from them. SI Ershad has filed a case against some unidentified persons including those detained as plaintiffs.
