An old man died in a road accident in Pirganj

A person named Nurul Islam died in a road accident in Thakurgaon Pirganj. The accident took place on Monday morning at a place called Sheikhpara on the Pirganj-Ranishankoil paved road in the district. Abdul Latif Sheikh, OC of Pirganj police station, said that the local resident informed the police after seeing the body of Nurul Islam lying on the paved road in front of Sheikhpara Government Primary School. Later he was rescued and taken to a local hospital. It is believed that he died in a road accident. However, it is still not clear how the accident happened. The investigation is going on. A UD case has been registered in the police station in this incident. Police said he was the son of Asaru Mohammad, who died in Narayanpur village of Nurul Islam upazila.
