Press conference on allegations of eviction of 27 landless families in Pirganj

While the case is pending in the Supreme Court, it has been alleged that around 27 landless families are being evicted from the land by using the order of the lower court in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. Sirajul Islam and Sahidul Islam purchased the land while the landless people were in possession of the land and have been living there for the past 30/40 years. In the meantime, on June 20, 2021, the office of the Additional District Commissioner claimed the property as a waqf property

Residents ordered 27 landless families to evacuate all their infrastructure within three days. The landless brought a civil suit in the Joint District Judge's Court.
