Declaration of safe vegetable village in Faridpur

With the implementation of the non-governmental organization Society Development Committee and with the technical assistance of Madhukhali Upazila Agriculture Office and the funding of Palli Karmasahayak Foundation, Mahishapur village of Ghazna Union of Madhukhali Upazila of Faridpur has been declared a safe vegetable village and soil test certificates have been distributed to farmers.

The event was held at Mahishapur village of the upazila on Tuesday (March 21) at noon.

It was attended as the chief guest, Additional Director of Agriculture Department Faridpur Region. Haroon or Rashid.

The program was also attended by Deputy Director of Agriculture Department Faridpur. Ziaul Haque, Faridpur soil resource development institute chief scientific officer. Md. Nurul Huda Al Mamun, Madukhali Upazila Agriculture Officer Alvir Rahman, Agriculture Club Bimal Adhikari, Project Manager of SDC. Rafiqul Islam, Environment Officer Ashraful Alam, Marketing Officer. Delwar Hossain and technical officer Sajal, president of Ghazna Union Awam League and prominent farmer Akram Hossain Miah, deputy assistant officer Prabir Kumar Matubbar, farmers of Mahishapur village and others.

In the event, farmers were invited to come forward to produce safe vegetables.
