One died tragically in a road accident in Naogaon; Injured 5 including children

 In Patnitala of Naogaon district,

a tragic death of one person has been reported and five others, including a child, have been seriously injured.

According to local residents and police sources, a woman named Sanjida Khatun (26) was killed on the spot in a head-on collision between a charger van and a bus in the Gahan Mor area of Dhamirhat road in Najipur on February 24, Friday evening. In this incident, five other people, including a child, were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment in various medical facilities.

Deceased Sanjida Khatun (26) is the wife of Md Russell Rana of Paharkata village of Patnichra union of Patnitala upazila.

The injured are Sohan (3), son of deceased Sanjida, van driver Mizanur Rahman (45), son of deceased Faiz Uddin of Aminabad village, Shamim Reza (30), son of deceased Amjad Hossain of Paharkata village, Sharifa Khatun (45), wife of Amjad Hossain of the same village, Khajur of Mahadevpur police station. Arifuzzaman (15), son of Hafizur Rahman of Natuapara village in Union.

Patnitala fire station in-charge warehouse inspector Raihan Islam said that after receiving the information, we quickly reached the spot and the police and fire service personnel jointly carried out the rescue work.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Patnitala police station, Palash Chandra Dev, confirmed the fact of the incident and said that till now no complaint has been lodged with the police station, the bus has been impounded.
