One died tragically in a motorcycle-truck collision in Badalgashi

A motorcyclist named Rafiqul Islam (45) tragically died in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a stone-laden truck on his way back from his daughter's house in Badalgachi of Naogaon district.

On February 7, Tuesday around 7:30 am, this tragic accident took place at the three-way intersection of Badalgachi-Jaipurhat regional road in Gobarchampahat.

The deceased Rafiqul Islam is the son of Abbas Ali of Goalvita village of historic Paharpur union of Badalgachi upazila.

According to local sources, Rafiqul Islam was returning from his daughter's house to his home village of Goalvita in historical Paharpur by motorcycle. Meanwhile, a truck loaded with stones was coming towards Naogaon from Joypurhat. Rafiqul's head was crushed by the wheels of the truck at the three-head intersection of Gobarchampa Hut. He died on the spot. However, the truck could not be seized as there was no one at the spot. After receiving the news, the police recovered the body.

Badalgachi police station officer-in-charge (OC) Atiyar Rahman confirmed the death in the accident and said that the body has been recovered from the accident site. The body has been sent to Naogaon Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
