Victory Day celebrated at Maldives High Commission

Yesterday, December 16, Friday at 8 pm local time, Bangladesh High Commission Maldives celebrated the Great Victory Day with due dignity and enthusiasm throughout the day. Under the direction of Md. Ebadullah, Consular Assistant of the Dutaloy, the ceremony started with the hoisting of the national flag along with the national anthem at the premises of the Bangladesh High Commission.

  The evening discussion and cultural program on the occasion of Victory Day began with the recitation of the Holy Quran in the voice of Mao, Tajul Islam. Then the national anthem was played. Honorable High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad was present as the chief guest on the occasion. On the occasion of the day, Hon'ble President, Hon'ble Prime Minister, Hon'ble Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State read out the messages given by the Mission's Second Secretary Mr. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, Administrative Officer Mr. Abdus Salam, Ms. Shireen Farzana and Welfare Assistant Al Mamun Pathan respectively.

Mr. Md. Sohail Parvez, Head of Embassy of the Commission, gave a welcome speech on the occasion. He remembered the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the brave freedom fighters, the sun children of the country, with deep respect.
