Victory Day celebrated at Maldives High Commission

The evening discussion and cultural program on the occasion of Victory Day began with the recitation of the Holy Quran in the voice of Mao, Tajul Islam. Then the national anthem was played. Honorable High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad was present as the chief guest on the occasion. On the occasion of the day, Hon'ble President, Hon'ble Prime Minister, Hon'ble Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State read out the messages given by the Mission's Second Secretary Mr. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, Administrative Officer Mr. Abdus Salam, Ms. Shireen Farzana and Welfare Assistant Al Mamun Pathan respectively.
Mr. Md. Sohail Parvez, Head of Embassy of the Commission, gave a welcome speech on the occasion. He remembered the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the brave freedom fighters, the sun children of the country, with deep respect. He urged Bangladeshi expatriates to work from their respective positions to brighten the image of Bangladesh abroad. Dr. gave a speech on behalf of expatriate Bangladeshis on Victory Day. In the speech of the chief guest at the event, the Honorable High Commissioner paid deep respect to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali nation father of a thousand years. He mentioned that even if the conspirators killed Bangabandhu, his dream could not be killed. Under the dynamic leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the privileged daughter of the Father of the Nation, Bangladesh has become a role model for development. He gave importance to Bangabandhu's ideology and its implementation to build the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu's dream.
A large number of expatriate Bangladeshis, politicians, businessmen, doctors, teachers, bank officials, civil society, officials of US Bangla Airlines, numerous leaders and workers of Maldives Awami League, expatriate professionals and all mission officials are present in this event organized in the auditorium of Malé National University, Maldives. was
