Martyr Intellectuals Day was observed with due dignity at Bangladesh High Commission Maldives today at 11 am. Honorable High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad was present as the chief guest in the discussion program organized on the occasion of the day under the direction of Embassy Welfare Assistant Al Mamun Pathan. First Secretary (Labour) Md. Sohail Parvez and Second Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiya were present as special guests. , Mr. Abdus Salam and Ms. Shireen Farzana read the speeches given by the Hon'ble President and the Hon'ble Prime Minister respectively, Hon'ble High Commissioner's speech as the Chief Guest respectfully remembered the contribution of martyred intellectuals for the freedom of Bangladesh. He mentioned that Razakar Albadar and their henchmen who are behind the killing of intellectuals will always be hated by the nation.
He called upon everyone to work from their respective positions to transform Bangladesh into a golden Bangladesh under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, keeping in mind the sacrifice of the martyred intellectuals.
