Five fake doctors arrested in RAB raid in Naogaon

RAB-5 arrested five fake doctors in Patnitala upazila of Naogaon district. Various types of medical equipment have been seized from them. They were arrested from the Najipur Paur Bazar area of the upazila on Monday evening.

This information was informed in a press release sent by RAB-5 Joypurhat on Tuesday afternoon, December 20.

The arrested fake doctors are Chapal Chowdhury (26) son of Rajkumar Chowdhury of Puiya village of Patnitala upazila, Golap Kumar Sarkar (32) son of Bharubhushan Sarkar of Chakshibaram village, Abul Kashem Mithu (39) son of Hafizur Rahman of Ambati village, deceased Abul Kalam Azad of Balukha Purbpara village. Son Mosharof Hossain Raju (32) and Golam Sarwar Sohan (29) son of Shahinur Rahman of Old Bazar area of Shajipur.

According to Joypurhat RAB-5, an operation was conducted in Najipur Paur Bazar area of Patnitala Upazila under the leadership of Major Mustafa Zaman and Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Masud Rana of Joypurhat Camp Company yesterday. During this time, two fake Auto Sine, various Sine 150, six prescription pads, five surgical tool boxes, six blood pressure machines, four surgical scissors, six stethoscopes and an eye sight measurement device and other medical equipment were seized. Meanwhile, five people were arrested.

The arrested were setting up chambers in their pharmacy shops and treating patients without any degree. Some of them were surgical plasters of broken bones of the body and some of them introduced themselves as mother and child specialists. It is said that a regular case has been filed against the accused in Patnitala police station.
