Father and son arrested with 150 bottles of Phencidil in Naogaon

They were arrested from Chakrahamtpur area of the upazila in the early hours of Wednesday, December 21. The arrested are Safiqul Islam (50) and his son Sabuj Hossain (32) of North Chowk Rahmat Baddighi village of the upazila.
This information is known from a press release sent from RAB-5 Joypurhat at 9 am on Wednesday.
It is said in the press release that under the leadership of RAB-5 Joypurhat Camp Company Captain Major Mostafa Zaman and Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Masud Rana, an operation was conducted in Chakarhamtpur area of Dhamirhat Upazila. Safiqul Islam and his son Sabuj Hossain were arrested along with 151 bottles of Phencidil.
The detainees had been illegally collecting phensidyl for a long time and supplying it to drug addicts and drug dealers in different parts of the district. A case is pending against them in Dhamirhat Police Station under the 'Narcotics Control Act-2018'.
