Expatriate Bangladeshi women flock to pitha festival in Italy

Bangladeshi women living abroad in Italy have organized a winter pitha festival to highlight the native culture and the eternal tradition of Bengal to the new generation. Expatriate Bengalis participate with great interest in the traditional delicious pitha festival of Bengalis organized at local restaurants in the capital Rome. For a temporary period, the taste of the native culture and exceptional cultural events provide pure joy to the expatriates.Like every year, expatriate women got together and interacted with each other around the pitha festival held in the capital Rome, jointly organized by expatriate women leaders Renu, Rimu, Champa, Julie, Sharmin, Liza and Nusrat. It is like a wonderful event of different levels of women in native dress on foreign soil.
Organizers said that this was organized with the purpose of spending some time in the country atmosphere in the middle of the busy and busy life and to highlight the Bangladeshi traditions among the expatriates.
A large number of expatriates along with their families participate in the festival. Participating family members enjoy eating various pitha-pulis or payesh on the one hand, while on the other hand they immerse themselves in the grandeur of the traditional Bengali winter pitha eating festival.
The incoming leaders said, we are really happy to have the opportunity to taste different types of pithas on foreign soil and to organize an exceptional religious event. We want to strengthen the brotherhood by organizing such events again and again.
In the second phase of the program, a lottery was drawn among all to serve Rokmari pitha to the women and special prizes were awarded to the winners.
