Bangladesh High Commission celebrated Digital Bangladesh Day 2022 yesterday in Maldives. Honorable High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad was present as the chief guest in the discussion program organized on the occasion of the day under the direction of Consular Assistant of the Embassy Md Abdullah. Mr. Md. Sohail Parvez, First Secretary of the High Commission gave a welcome speech on the occasion. He highlighted various important initiatives taken by the government in Digital Bangladesh and its benefits such as: information provision through national portal, digital center, Sheikh Russell Digital Lab, IT Park, Learning and Earning etc. Hon'ble High Commissioner mentioned in his speech that under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh today has transformed into Digital Bangladesh. Soon we will join the ranks of the father of the nation's dream of Sonar Bangla and developed countries. He urged everyone to work together to build that Bangladesh of the future. Second Secretary of Embassy Md. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiya, Administrative Officer Abdus Salam, Welfare Assistant Al Mamun Pathan, Welfare Assistant Mohammad Jasim Uddin, Consular Official Moynal Hossain, and Abu Raihan, all the officers and employees of the mission and a significant number of expatriate Bangladeshis were present in the ceremony.
