Two drug dealers were arrested with two kg of ganja in Naogaon

Police arrested two drug dealers with two kg of ganja in Manda of Naogaon district. They were arrested from Chakoumed village near Battala market of Nurullabad union of the upazila at around 8 pm on Saturday.
The arrested persons are Mintu Hossain (23) and Mahidul Islam (28) of the village of Kamarkudi Purbapara of the upazila. Among them, Gharjamai lives in the house of Alauddin, a vegetable trader of Chakoumed village in Mahidul Islam upazila.
According to the police, the arrested Mahidul Islam traveled around Battala Bazar by ferries and traded in jhal-muri. They have been dealing in drugs for a long time under the cover of this business. Mintu Hossain was one of Mohidul's associates in the drug business.
Manda police station officer-in-charge (OC) Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui said that on Saturday night, police station sub-inspector Zahidul Islam raided Chakoumed village near Battala market and arrested Mintu Hossain and Mahidul Islam while selling ganja.
The OC also said that during the search, the police recovered two kg of ganja from the arrested persons.
In this incident, they were sent to Naogaon jail through the court on Sunday, October 30, with a case against them under the Narcotics Act.
