Md. Al Amin Maldives representative

Honorable High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad handed over a flight ticket from Wage Earners Welfare Fund to critically ill expatriate Bangladeshi worker Mr. Zakir Hossain to return home for better treatment.

Today, October 16, every Sunday, at ten o'clock in the morning, the High Commissioner handed over this ticket to the High Commissioner's office. Ever since joining the mission, expatriate-friendly High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad and his colleagues have been working tirelessly to solve various problems of expatriates.

At that time, High Commission's First Secretary (Labor) and Dotaloy Pay Mr. Md. Sohail Parvez and High Commission's Welfare Assistant Al Mamun Pathan were present. It is noted that Mr. Zakir Hossain used to work in a fishing boat. He suffered a serious eye injury from a spear while fishing and was treated at a local hospital, where he later developed an infection. He currently needs advanced treatment. He will return to Bangladesh on October 18, 2022. Md. Zakir Hossain's village house is in Patharghata upazila of Barguna district.
