Former UP Chairman Mostafizar Rahman was elected as a member in Ward No. 3 (Peerganj) in Thakurgaon Zilla Parishad election held on October 17. He got 78 votes. He voted with elephant marks. His closest rival is Ghiyasuddin

Got 60 votes. Ghiyasuddin voted with electric fan marks. On Monday, from 9 am to 2 pm, voting was held through EVM in the auditorium of Upazila Parishad in a festive atmosphere. There were 5 more candidates after the election. Among them, Mizanur Rahman Tiffin Career) got 3 votes, Subal Chandra Roy (Auto Recra) got 2 votes, Moshiur Rahman (Cricket Bat) got 1 vote,
