Protest marches and protest meetings were held in protest of the grenade attack in Faridpur

On this day in 2004, a terrible grenade attack was carried out at the Awami League rally on Bangabandhu Avenue. And in this attack, 24 Awami League leaders and activists were killed and more than five hundred people were injured. In protest of that terrible grenade attack, protest marches and protest rallies were held in Banga of Faridpur.
Today Sunday (21st August) this protest march and protest meeting was held at 5 pm.
The protest rally and discussion meeting was organized under the leadership of popular member of parliament of Faridpur-4 constituency and presidium member of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League Mojibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury.
The protest march started from the Eidgah intersection of the city, went around the main main road of the city and ended at the discussion meeting in front of Bhanga Kot.
The event was attended by the Chairman of Banga Upazila Parishad S. M. Habibur Rahman, former upazila chairman. Shahadat Hossain, Chandra Union Parishad Chairman Abdul Khalek Molla, Omar Farooq Habi, Apollo Nowroz and other leaders and workers of various organizations.
In this regard, Algi Union's renowned freedom fighter commander and retired policeman Bir Muktijoddha. Anwar Hossain Molla said, strongly condemned the barbaric grenade attack on August 21 and protested.
He also said that they threw grenades that day to kill the daughter of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu, the beloved leader, Hon'ble Prime Minister. But Allah keeps, who kills! God has kept the honorable Prime Minister alive. But we lost many people in that attack. Many people are still living miserable lives with the poisonous parts of the grenades in their bodies.
