Seven people including cow thieves and drug dealers were arrested in Naogaon

People arrested three people while stealing cows and ran away in Atrai of Naogaon district. They were arrested from Rasulpur area of the upazila on Saturday afternoon yesterday. A case was filed against the arrested and sent to jail through the court today (July 17).
Atrai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tarekur Rahman Sarkar said yesterday Saturday afternoon Biman Sardar's son Biman stole a cow calf of Rasulpur Prabupara village and ran away with CNG fuel. At that time, the local people chased them and arrested three people and handed them over to the police.
In this incident, Biman Sardar, the owner of the cow, filed a case in Atrai Police Station as the plaintiff. Javed Mondal (26) and Nahid Mondal (20), sons of deceased Momen Mondal of Bogra's Santahar Yard Colony area, and Jai Khan (25), son of Salim Khan of the same village, were arrested and sent to jail through the court on Sunday.
On the other hand, Detective Branch (DB) of Naogaon district police arrested four youths with heroin, ampoules and tapentadol tablets in separate raids in Raninagar and Atrai.
They were arrested last Saturday night. Separate cases have been filed against the arrested in Raninagar and Atrai police stations.
Naogaon District Intelligence Branch OC KM Shamsuddin said, based on secret information that drugs are being sold, raids were conducted in the Paschim Baluvara area of Raninagar Upazila at night.
At that time, Sabuj Hossain (36) was arrested with three grams and 75 pieces of ampoules and 16 thousand 700 taka for selling drugs.
Besides, on the same night, Jai Hossain (21), son of Masud Rana of Bandaikhara village, Abdul Akib alias Mintu (25), son of Khabir Uddin, and Faruk Hossain (33), son of Shahar Ali of Machgram, Bagmara Upazila of Rajshahi were arrested on the same night in Bandaikhara area of Atrai Upazila.
During the arrest, 400 pieces of tapentadol tablets were recovered from their possession. Cases have been filed separately in Raninagar and Atrai police stations on behalf of Naogaon District Intelligence Branch against those arrested in the same night.
