Funeral of Allama Abdul Halim Bukhari was completed with the participation of millions of devotees

The janaza prayers of Al-Jamia Al-Islamia Patiyar Muhtamim and Shaykhul Hadith, the traditional religious educational institutions of South-East Asia and the Secretary General of Anjuman-e-Ittehadul Madaris Bangladesh have been completed with the participation of millions of devotees from different districts and upazilas of the country.


Hafez Ahmadullah, Chief Mufti of Jamia and Muhaddis Mufti presided over the janaza held at Jamia Al-Islamia Patiya ground on Tuesday (June 21) at 10 pm. The janaza was attended by millions of devotees including directors of different madrasas, students-teachers, politicians and non-political personalities.


Earlier, Mufti Abdul Halim Bokhari of Al-Jamia Al-Islamia Patiya passed away at 10 am on Tuesday (June 21) while undergoing treatment at CSCR Hospital in Chittagong. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. Earlier on Sunday (June 19), Mufti Abdul Halim Bokhari fell ill with a sudden respiratory illness after Maghrib. When he was later taken to the hospital, the doctor on duty transferred him to the ICU after examination.


Mufti Abdul Halim Bukhari Former Advisor to Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, Director General of Al Jamia Al Islamia Patiya, Secretary General of Qawmi Madrasa Education Board Anjuman Ittehadul Madaris Bangladesh. He is also the Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, President of Islamic Conference Organization Bangladesh and Bangladesh Tahfizul Quran Organization and Chief Editor of Jamia Patiya Spokesperson Monthly At Tawheed. In 2016, Al Hayatul Ulaya was formed by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to recognize the Master of Certificate of Hadith in the Daora of Qawmi Madrasa, and he was nominated as a member of its Standing Committee.
