BNP blockade in Khagrachari; Traffic on internal roads is closed

Road blockade is going on for 24 hours in Khagrachhari at the call of BNP. The blockade will continue till 8 am on Wednesday (June 7). Due to the blockade, all types of traffic on long distance and inland roads are closed. Despite the blockade, a lot of strikes are going on. Many tourists have been detained due to the blockade.
Awami League has filed a false case against Khagrachhari district BNP president and former MP Wadud Bhuiyan for attacking his residence, killing his house, vandalizing his house and car, vandalizing his motorbike and setting fire to his office. The BNP called for a road blockade in protest. The blockade will continue till 8 am on Wednesday. A 24-hour road blockade is going on in Khagrachhari on the call of additional police BNP in important places of the district for fear of unpleasant incidents. In support of the blockade, picketing is going on in different upazilas including district towns by burning tires and throwing tree stumps. Due to the blockade, all types of traffic on long distance and inland roads are closed. Despite the blockade, a lot of strikes are going on. Many tourists have been detained due to the blockade.
