Tragic death of a young man in a head-on collision between a truck and a motorcycle in Naogaon

A young man named Md. Hafizur Rahman (50) died in a head-on collision between a truck and a motorcycle at Atrai in Naogaon district.

The incident took place at around 7 am on Saturday, May 21 at the head of the south side of Atrai Bridge in Ahsanganj Union of the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Hafizur Rahman, son of Nasir Uddin of Singsara village under Ahsanganj union of the upazila.

According to local sources, Md. Hafizur Rahman was returning home on a motorcycle around 8 am on Saturday, leaving his grandson at school. On the way, they collided head-on with an empty truck at a crossroads on the south side of Atrai Bridge in the upazila. Hafizur Rahman, who was on a motorcycle, was seriously injured. The locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment and died on the way.

Atrai Police Station OC Investigation Mohammad Lutfar Rahman confirmed the road accident. And the body has been handed over to his family. However, no one from the victim's family has lodged any complaint, he said.
