The body of an unidentified old woman was recovered from a tree in Naogaon

Police have recovered the body of an unidentified old woman from under Balihar Bridge in Mahadevpur of Naogaon district.

The body was recovered around 8:30 am on Saturday, May 8 and taken to the Nauhata police outpost. However, the name of the person was not known.

According to local sources, the body of the old woman was stuck in the water under the Balihar Bridge of the upazila around 8:30 am on Saturday. After seeing the body, the locals informed the Nauhata police outpost.

Naohata police outpost in-charge Uttam Kumar Biswas said the body of the unidentified woman was recovered from the spot after receiving information from locals in the morning.

The body is swollen as it is lying in the water. Attempts are being made to identify the deceased. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
