The corpse of a child was found in a corn field in Naogaon.

The handcuffed body of a child named Yusuf Ali (12) was recovered from a corn field in Manda of Naogaon district.

On Monday morning, March 21, 18 hours after the disappearance, the locals found his body in a corn field called Buri Beel. Later they informed the police and the police came and recovered the body and took it to the police station.


The deceased was identified as Yusuf Ali, son of Rezaul Islam of Kathordanga village under Kanshopara union of Manda upazila. He was a fifth class student of Andariyapara Government Primary School.

He had been missing since 3pm on Sunday.


The baby's father, Rezaul Islam, said Yusuf's mother cooked him fish and let him eat it on Sunday afternoon. But if you want to eat rice with chicken, you can buy chicken from the village poultry shop. When he started cooking meat for his son, Yusuf left the house to eat later. He has not been found since.


Abul Kalam, brother-in-law of the deceased, said that brother-in-law Yusuf was missing but he was not found even though miking was done in different areas of the village from Monday evening to 8 pm. His body was found in the corn field of Sadequl Islam in Buri Beel around 9 am


Witnesses said the body of baby Yusuf was lying half-naked inside the cornfield. Both hands were tied behind the back with cloth ribbons. One of his eyes has been plucked out. His penis has been cut off.

Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahinur Rahman said a team from Rajshahi CID's Crime Scene Unit went to the spot and collected evidence. After collecting the evidence, the CID team recovered the body and sent it to Naogaon Hospital Morgue for autopsy. A case has been registered in this regard.
