The body of a young man was recovered from Naogaon Bill

The body of a youth named Manjurul Islam Ripon (20) has been recovered in Manda upazila of Naogaon district.

The body was recovered from Dubri Beel in Dodangi village of Nurullabad union in Manda upazila on Thursday afternoon, March 24.

Ripon Dodangi is the son of Anwar Hossain pilot of Hajipara village. He is an agricultural worker. He went out to listen to Islamic Jalsa near his house on Wednesday night and disappeared.

Ripon's mother Manjuara Bibi said the Islamic Jalsa was organized on Wednesday at the Dewanpara Jame Mosque in the village. At around 8.30 pm, his son Ripon left home to take part in the party. He did not return home even after the party was over. He was later found in the vicinity but was not found. His mobile phone was also switched off at that time.

Ripon's uncle Anisur Rahman Azad said that his nephew Ripon did not return home after the party. On Thursday morning, while working in the field, he saw his body in a paddy field.

Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahinur Rahman said that the murder was initially thought to be based on the evidence of the body. The body has been sent to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case will be filed in the incident.
