Madrasa master arrested for raping Hafezia Madrasa student in Naogaon

Police have arrested Hafizur Rahman, 35, head of Darul Quran Mahila Hafezia Madrasa in Naogaon district for allegedly raping a child student.
He was arrested in a raid on Sunday afternoon, February 8.
The arrested Hafizur Rahman is the son of Mohar Peyadar of Banshbaria Kanaipara village in Kashopara union of Manda upazila of Naogaon district. He has been running the madrasa under a single leadership for three long years. There are 50 girls studying there.
Golam Rabbani, a resident of the village, said the madrasa was established three years ago but did not have a steering committee. Hafizur Rahman manages it alone. The people of the village do not care. They do not even know how the madrasa is run.
Several women in the area, who did not want to be named, said there were two female teachers in the madrasa. On Sunday morning, they left their jobs at the madrasa. Before leaving, the two teachers told the women in the area that the character of the head of the madrasa was not good. For this they are leaving their jobs. Then the whispers started in the area.
According to a student of the madrasa, his wife went to visit his father's house last Thursday afternoon. On this occasion, Huzur misbehaved with a student of Ketab Shiksha on Saturday night. Huzur would occasionally touch her body. She could not tell anyone for fear.
Manda Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Habibur Rahman said Hafizur Rahman, headmistress of Mahila Hafezia Madrasa, was detained after a search operation. Initially the truth of the matter was found. The victim was rescued and taken into police custody. Legal action will be taken in the incident.
