Accused sentenced to life imprisonment in Pirganj Arrested

 Police have arrested Hasan Ali, a fugitive accused in a murder case in Pirganj, Thakurgaon.

He was arrested on Thursday afternoon from the house of a close relative in Jagatha village in the municipal town.

He is the son of late Siraj Uddin. Pirganj Police Station OC (Investigation) Bidyut Kumar Chowdhury said that in a murder case, on October 15, 2016, the court sentenced Hasan Ali to life imprisonment and one more month imprisonment for non-payment of five thousand rupees.

Hasan was a fugitive for a long time. Hasan Jagatha was arrested by a police team led by Sub-Inspector Ashraful Islam on a tip-off that he was staying at a relative's house in Jagatha village. He was sent to jail in the afternoon.
