Tragic death of two youths in a motorcycle accident in Naogaon

Two youths have died in a motorcycle accident at Patnitala in Naogaon district.

The tragic accident took place at Balugha junction of Nazipur-Sapahar road in Patnitala upazila around 4:30 pm on Monday. Three more people were injured in the incident.

The deceased have been identified as Farhad Hossain, 18, son of Nurul Islam of Godown Para in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon district and Rejuan Hossain, 19, son of Milon Hossain of Pichaldanga village in the same upazila.

According to local sources, five persons including Farhad and Rejuan came to Nazipur market on two motorcycles. They were returning to Sapahar after work. On the way, the motorcycle lost control and collided with a tree at Balugha junction of Nazipur-Sapahar road. Farhad Hossain died on the spot. Rejuan died on the way to Patnitala Upazila Health Complex after locals rescued the injured. The injured are being treated at the hospital.

Patnitala Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamsul Alam confirmed that two youths were killed in the accident.
