Manabbandhan for releasing Madaripur correspondent of Daily Kalerkantha

A human chain of journalists of Madaripur district has been held after Ayesha Didika Akashi, Madaripur correspondent of Daily Kalerkantha, was released from the organization. The human chain was held in front of Madaripur Press Club around 10:30 am on Sunday. Maitri Media Secretary SM Arafat Hasan presided over the human chain. Media workers working in print, online and electronic media of districts and upazilas took part. They were joined by members of various social organizations holding banners and festoons. Speakers at the human chain quickly demanded that Ayesha Didika Akashi be retained as Madaripur representative. If not, the speakers announced to continue various movements including pen break.

Madaripur Press Club General Secretary Bir Muktijoddha Jahangir Kabir, District Journalists Welfare Association President Golam Mawla Akand, Senior Journalist Subal Biswas, Daily Analysis Editor and Publisher Zahirul Islam Khan, Daily Subarnagram Patrika Authority Representative and District Juba League General Secretary Saifur Rahman Rubel were present. Khan, Samay TV correspondent Abhijit Karmakar, Kalkini Reporters Unity president Milon Mahmud, general secretary Nasir Uddin Liton and members and activists of various social organizations. Channel 24 journalist Sagar Hossain Tamim conducted the human chain. Also present were Dream Green Bangladesh, BD Clean, Durant Madaripur, Nakshi-Katha, Manabik Rakta Bank, Bondhan Paribar, Manab Kalyan Sangathan, Aftab Uddin Mia Foundation, Anchal Multimedia Shilpi Sangsad, Family in Search of Enlightened Life, Friends and various social and voluntary organizations.

On September 26, Daily Kalerkantha released 18 district representatives, including Madaripur representative Ayesha Didika Akashi, from the organization without any notice. In a letter signed by Anisuzzaman Talukder, the department's head of human resources and administration, it was mentioned that they had been released in the interest of the organization.
