A fire broke out in a widow's house in Naogaon, burning everything including cows and goats to ashes

A helpless widow Nilufa Bewar (52) of Chamta village in Bargachha union of Raninagar upazila of Naogaon district caught fire and her house was burnt to ashes. Two cows, a goat and seven chickens also died in the fire. All the belongings of the house have been burnt.
The widow has lost about one and a half lakh rupees. The incident happened on Sunday night. Widow is the wife of late Zakir Hossain of Chamta village.
Widow Nilufa said her husband Zakir Hossain died about three years ago. From then on he became extremely helpless. A neighbor has been rearing a cow with a barga from one of them.
A member of the local union council gave her a widow's allowance card. He is buying a goat and a chicken with the allowance money and is making a living by running a small pan-bidi and oil shop at home. He has one son and one daughter. The boy got married and moved away. He married the girl in the village.
Meanwhile, on Sunday night, Nilufa locked the cows, goats and chickens at home and went to her daughter's house. During the Fajr prayers, the neighbors came out and saw that the house was on fire.
Nilufa said, there is nothing more than the clothes she has in her reading. A cow-calf worth about 80/90 thousand rupees, a goat, a chicken, clothes, rice, pulses, furniture and everything have been burnt to ashes.
This helpless widow seems to be lost in the thought of what to eat, what to read, and how to live the rest of her life.
Nilufa's daughter Mamta said that her mother had no enmity with any people of the village but she could not say how the fire started. However, he doubted that anyone could have set the fire.
Tahmina Bibi, a female member of the local union council, said Nilufa was a very helpless person. Seeing her situation, I made a widow allowance card. He makes a living by raising allowances and raising cows, goats and chickens.
Raninagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahin Akand said officers were sent there after receiving the news. The matter is being looked into.
Raninagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sushant Kumar Mahato said he would be officially assisted if he applied for the job.
