CHT 'Climate Resilience Project' CCRP workshop was held at Guimara, Khagrachari.

Guimara Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Jharna Tripura presided over the conference room of Guimara Upazila Parishad at 11 am on Monday. District Council member Memong Marma.

Sushant Chakma, District Manager, CCRP Project, Hill District Council, gave a welcome address on the occasion.

Hafchhari Union Parishad Chairman Chaithoai Chowdhury, Sindukchhari Union Parishad Chairman Redak Marma, Guimara Upazila Facilitator SIDCHT UNDP Focal Person SeniorRP Ankyaching Marma spoke as special guests.

The chief guest said in his speech that the efforts of all of us can be successful in tackling climate change. "All of our actions are largely responsible for the suddenness, rapidity and uncertainty that are working on climate change," he said. So we have to take the initiative to avoid this risk. Effective steps need to be taken from the personal level to the social, organizational and institutional level. Decreased agricultural production, landslides, floods, droughts, cyclones, untimely rainfall, etc. are occurring as a result of climate change. Therefore, in order to reduce the harmful effects of climate change and protect the tolerant natural environment, awareness needs to be raised among every member of the society.
