Weapons recovered during army operation in Khagrachari, one arrested

The army raided Guimara in Khagrachhari and arrested a man named Ranjit Babu with arms and anti-army posters. The detainee was identified as Ranjit Babu, 48, son of Shishir Mahajan of Jagannath Para, Ramgarh, Khagrachhari.

According to army sources, a patrol team from Guimara region conducted a special operation on the basis of intelligence information around 2 pm on Tuesday and searched a passenger local bus (Dhaka Metro J 11-0995) from Khagrachhari to Chittagong and arrested Ranjit Babu with an illegal weapon.

Guimara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman said members of the joint force led by the army had arrested a man with weapons and anti-state posters on the basis of secret information.
