Tragic death, one injured in Naogaon truck collision

A 55-year-old man was killed and another injured in a truck collision in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon district on Saturday. The injured Sajjad has been admitted to Naogaon Sadar Hospital.

The incident took place in front of the gate of Upazila Sadar Hospital at around 10:30 pm on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Jain, son of late Kafil Uddin of South Rajapur Mina Para village and injured Sajjad Hossain, son of Habibur Rahman of the same village.

Soheb Khandaker, son-in-law of the deceased Jain Uddin, said that on Friday night, his father-in-law Jain Uddin went to see a close relative at Raninagar Hospital. This time a fast moving truck was pushed from behind. Jain died on the spot and his companion Sajjad Hossain was seriously injured and was admitted to Naogaon Sadar Hospital.

Raninagar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Uttam Kumar Biswas said the truck was detained at Naogaon Sadar Police Station. However, no one has complained yet. Necessary legal action will be taken in case of complaint.
