A fifth grade schoolgirl died after falling from a jackfruit tree in Bachore Union (Monday, July 5) of Ranishankail Upazila in Thakurgaon. The deceased were identified as Shishu Jisa, 11, daughter of Mazaharul Islam of Amjuan village under Bachor union of Shishu upazila and a fifth grade school girl of Bajebaksa Government Primary School.

According to locals and family sources, the deceased Jisa climbed a small jackfruit tree next to the house and slipped and died on the spot.

In this regard, Bacho UUP member Farooq Hossain confirmed the death of the child and said, "I also heard that the daughter of Mazaharul of Amjuan village climbed a small jackfruit tree and later died on the spot."
