Naogaon got 502 houses in the second phase and also homeless families

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has received 502 homeless and landless families in Naogaon district in the second phase.
These houses have been provided to the landless and homeless families under the Asrayan-2 project of the Prime Minister's Office under the program of providing land and houses. Confession and naming has been completed in favor of these homeless and landless families in the upazila.

Hon'ble Prime Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on Sunday formally inaugurated the handing over of houses among these 502 beneficiary families through video conferencing with the entire country. According to the information given by the deputy commissioner, the number of households allotted in the upazila is 10 in Naogaon Sadar upazila, 9 in Badalgachhi upazila, 8 in Mahadevpur upazila, 10 in Atrai upazila, 33 in Raninagar upazila, 21 in Manda upazila, 118 in Patnitala upazila and 20 in Dhamairhat upazila. 65 and 70 in Sapahar upazila.

 The construction of these second phase houses with government funding has cost Tk. 1 lakh 90 thousand for each. The total expenditure has been 9 crore 53 lakh 80 thousand rupees. On the other hand, in the first phase, in the financial year 2020-21, under the Rural Infrastructure Reform (Kabita) program, 1,058 landless "A" class disaster resilient houses have been allotted. The distribution of these upazila based houses is 175 in Atrai Upazila, 90 in Raninagar Upazila, 110 in Naogaon Sadar Upazila,
46 in Badalgachhi upazila, 120 in Sapahar upazila, 114 in Patnitala upazila, 34 in Mahadevpur upazila, 90 in Manda upazila, 71 in Niamatpur upazila, 150 in Dhamairhat upazila and 54 in Porsha upazila. The construction of each of these houses in the first phase has cost 1 lakh 61 thousand rupees. The total cost has been ‘18 crore 5 lakh 6 thousand rupees.
