A training meeting for the upcoming national parliamentary election was held yesterday, at 5 p.m. for the Jamaat-e-Islami's Subil Union 4th Ward in Debidwar Upazila. The meeting took place at the Wahedpur Islamia Alim Madrasa.

The training session was moderated by Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid, Secretary of Subil Union Jamaat-e-Islami. The chief guest was Md. Saiful Islam Shahid, Secretary General of Cumilla North District Jamaat-e-Islami, former Upazila Vice Chairman, and the Jamaat-nominated MP candidate for Debidwar Upazila. Special guests included Md. Ruhul Amin, Secretary of the Debidwar Upazila branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, and Md. Jahangir Alam. Also present were Faruk Ahmed Molla, General Secretary of Wahedpur Social Welfare Council and President of Subil Union Sujan; and prominent figures like Md. Nurunnabi and Maulana Billal Hossain.

In his speech, the chief guest recalled the misrule of the past and called on everyone to give Jamaat-e-Islami a chance in the next election to build a modern society free from injustice, terrorism, and extortion. The event concluded with a reception.

It was noted that Maulana Md. Tajul Islam, the Jamaat-e-Islami nominated chairman candidate for Subil Union, was unable to attend the training meeting in his own union due to illness.
